This place has been here for a minute in my area, but you can miss it because you don't see the sign from Memorial Dr. Being from Guyana and my mom from Jamaica, I usually try most Caribbean spots in the area but missed this one. So, of course, I saw the Keith Lee review and said I would try it after a few weeks to let it settle down. I arrived around 1220pm, and they already had about 15 people waiting outside who had already ordered. Once I went inside, probably 10 people ahead of me. Once I got to front of line, I looked at the menu online and decided to try the jerk triple combo. So you get jerk chicken, jerk ribs, and jerk pork. You can get the meat only combo with bread for $20 or with rice n peas and cabbage for $28. I opted for the 2nd option because I was going to share it with a friend. Once the order is placed, they get your name, and you wait outside. They call names over an intercom that has a speaker outside. They did say it would be a 20 to 30 minute wait once your order is placed. I received my order by about 115pm, which was about 30 minutes after I placed it. Staff did a great job handling the service from order and giving you your order. The meat tasted great without the jerk sauce. I always like to try without first because sometimes jerk sauce can cover flavor. It had the jerk flavor with old-school smoke flavor from the grill. The rice n peas were ok, and the cabbage was cooked just right for me. Overall it was a great experience but that's my opinion. I have my favorite spots for jerk chicken and now will add this one to my list.

My Mother and I went today. The Keith Lee effect is still effecting. Our total wait time was about 40 minutes which really wasn’t that bad. Keith did not lie. The jerk chicken and jerk ribs are FIRE. With the sauce, even better. The Mac and cheese was just average. Not nasty but nothing to write home about. The ribs and chicken were definitely the starts of the show and worth all the hype.

Like many people currently, I was influenced by food reviewer Keith Lee to visit this place. Because of that I can’t truly review the service & atmosphere because at the time, the crowds are large and staff is having to assist/adjust. They were pleasant when ordering though. This is an Honest review so please read to the end. My expectations were high because of the online review. I ordered jerk ribs, bandage and rice & peas. Jerk ribs- delicious, with the sauce they give you especially. For me, I do wish they were a little more tender though. Cabbage- crunchy, which I like but could stand more flavor Rice & peas- these were my least favorite and if I go again I would just order meat. It was very bland in my opinion and wasnt the traditional Jamaican style rice and peas (at least that I’m used to). The price was reasonable with a large combo bring under $20. Overall, In my opinion this probably isn’t the best Jamaican spot in or around the city but it is good still and worth a shot if you’re wanting jerk. I wonder if Keith is from a place with a heavy Carribean culture, because I am and this want that comparable. ***i also wanted to add they don’t have other traditional Jamaican faves like oxtail or even patties.
